MISSION PARAMETERS

TARGETS

  1. Each player has a unique Target and is simultaneously the Target of another player.
  2. All players are assigned a random Target. If you forget your target, please see a website moderator or a senator that is helping to manage the game.
  3. A Hunter could be anyone from the student body or a handful of volunteer teachers.

TAGS

  1. Each player's objective is to tag their Target with one sticker. Only stickers provided by the Senate may be used in the game. A successful tag will result in the Target's elimination.
  2. A tag requires that the Hunter places a sticker onto the body or clothing of their target without being noticed. If that procedure is not followed, the tag is invalidated, and the Hunter may not make another attempt until 24 hours after the failed attempt.
  3. If the Target notices the impending tag AND makes a physical motion or vocal response prior to the sticker being placed, the tag is ruled invalid (all tags must be stealthy).
  4. If the tag is valid under the rules II.A, II.B, and II.C, then the Target is permanently eliminated from the game. The tagged Target's must accurately reveal their current Target, who becomes the Hunter's next Target.
  5. There is no limit on the number of successful tags that can be made by a Hunter in one day.
  6. It is the responsibility of each player to either inform a website moderator or a game designated senator about all successful tags or to input that information into trinitystickertag.com.
  7. Tags may be valid from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM on Wednesdays and Fridays, and from the end of morning programming (i.e. Chapel or Community Time) till 3:25 PM on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. If there are grade meetings or advising sessions, when different grades/advisings may get out at different times, tags will not be allowed until 8:50 AM. Tags will only be valid during these times if they follow all other requirements. Tags must be executed within the walls of Trinity School.
  8. A Hunter cannot tag while either they or their target is in class, in the math lab, in a bathroom, in the quiet section of the library, in the cafeteria during lunch (defined as 12:05 PM-1:40 PM), in affinity group or service group meetings, in student-teacher meetings about academics, in sports practices, in U214A and U214B, or in any office including the US office, teacher offices, dean offices, the nurse's office, or the college counseling offices.
  9. Hunters are prohibited from tagging while they are supposed to be in class.
  10. If a target is late to class, they may still be tagged until they have entered the classroom. Once a class has started and a target is physically in class, they may not be tagged until the teacher officially declares the end of class. Tagging during mid-class breaks, which include bathroom breaks and breaks between a double period, is prohibited.
  11. If a target is sitting in a classroom prior to class having started all tags are still valid.
  12. Disputes between two players with regard to the legitimacy of a tag will be decided by a website moderator or a designated senator.
  13. Players have 24 hours to either confirm or dispute a tag. Failure to respond to tags within 24 hours will result in elimination.
  14. Players may not tag during any emergencies, including fire, lockdown, and shelter in place drills. Any violation of this rule results in immediate disqualification.

SECOND HUNTER

  1. Players must complete at least one tag for each week that has elapsed since the game's start or else they will receive a second tagger. This means that after the first week, players must have completed one tag, after the second week, two tags, etc..
  2. If a player with two hunters is tagged by either hunter, the original hunter will receive the player's target as their new target.
  3. Any player can have at maximum two hunters and two targets at a time.
  4. If a player with two hunters is unsuccessfully tagged by one hunter, their other hunter does not have to adhere to the 24 hour tag cooldown (II.B).
  5. Tags of the same target are handled independently of each other. This means one tag can be disputed and another confirmed.
  6. Second hunters are removed if (a) the second hunter has been tagged or (b) the target tags a player.
  7. Players may contest their receipt of a second hunter if the player's target was absent for three or more days within the past week.
  8. A player's second hunter be any of the other remaining players in the game, including one's original target. A player's second target may be any remaining player other than themselves or their first target.

DISPUTED TAGS

  1. A disputed tag will be reviewed on a case by case basis. Both parties should approach any game facilitator in the hallway to resolve a dispute. This review will adjudicate conflicts arising between players and review accusations of cheating.
  2. Game facilitators must refer to the letter of the official Trinity Sticker Tag rules—the ones displayed on the website at the time of the tag—when evaluating the legitimacy of a tag.
  3. The Senate can change the Target of a player at any point in the game. All players will be promptly notified of any changes regarding their Target. The Senate may also disqualify players.
  4. Players are prohibited from executing tags while their tag is being disputed.

TEACHERS AND CLASSES

  1. All teachers can disqualify a player if the player interferes with a teacher or disrupts a class in any way.
  2. All teachers can invalidate any tags if they are disruptive.
  3. Any students leaving a class, practice, or performance, early, arriving late, or stepping out to participate in Sticker Tag will be eliminated.

ADAPTIVE RULES

  1. The 24-hour cooldown (II.B) on tags will no longer apply once fewer than 50 competitors remain.
  2. When only 25 players remain in the game, Rule II.G will be suspended. Players must still follow all other rules and are required to film all tags that occur outside of Trinity's walls.
  3. When only 50 players and when only 10 players remain in the game, every player will be given a new target via the Sticker Tag Website. Everyone will be alerted via email when this happens.
  4. When only 5 players remain, all players will receive a second hunter regardless of the number of tags they have.

FURTHER RULES

  1. During the course of the game, the game facilitators maintain the right to amend any rule.
  2. Players are responsible for all emails sent by trinhub@trinityschoolnyc.org and game facilitators.
  3. Players are prohibited from hiding the events on their Google Calendar. Any violation of this rule will result in immediate disqualification from the game.

  5. Players are prohibited from hacking, modifying, and/or exploiting the website, in order to gain any unauthorized information or advantage. Any violation of this rule will result in immediate disqualification from the game.
  6. Players may vote to accelerate the game by reshuffling targets and hunters at any point. All polls must be initiated by a game facilitator, and the will of the majority will be honored.
  7. Players need 12 or more tags, in order to be featured in the Hall of Fame.
  8. Only the last remaining player is considered a winner.
